I am just happen to read an article about match fixing and gambling particularly in Asia by Joel Morisson
Match fixing happen all around the world, but Asia remain as the main source of betting syndicate.

The syndicates in Asia run a brisk and lucrative business, with football competitions played nearly all-year round globally. Popular international tournaments, such as the World Cup, European Championship and African Nations Cup, often result in a massive increase in bets. In Thailand, it is estimated that Thais bet nearly one billion dollars on the 2006 World Cup.
Even Benin Coach, Reinhard Fabisch claimed he was approached by a bookie from Singapore to fix his first game againts Mali in the opening match African Cup Nation. See, how far they can go . The writer give a few examples from all around the Asia. From China, Sinagapore even in Malaysia.

Recently, Malaysia coach Chow Kwai Lam was found guilty for deliberately asking his keeper to let go some goals in S league. He was fined S$50,000 by the Singapore Court.Gambling should not be allowed anyway. It can kill the whole football future.Serie A in Italy has faces this football tragedy. If the gambling is stop, there will no bookie wandering around asking for insider information among the football player.
